The Southern Poverty Law Center reports that there are 939 hate groups operating in the U.S. — a nearly 60% increase since 2000. This reminded me of my favorite quote from Martin Luther King Jr.: “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

These words are helpful to ponder in any situation, but especially when there are still so many people in need of love — both those who identify with a hate group and those who are on the receiving end of the hate.

LOOK AT ALL OF THOSE IN THE NORTH. STOP COVERING YOUR EYES AND LOOK.

There’s fucking 41 in PA, christ.

in the 90s PA had the largest number of KKK factions. little known fact. :/

i need white people in the north to stop saying racism is a southern problem bc look at ny, nj, and pa.

Missouri only has 23, but NY has 42. Well, damn.

Damn, next month will mark the first time in my entire life that I’ll live in a state with LESS THAN 40.

And there are no racists in the North. Right. Okay.

i honestly don’t know how someone could say northern states are racism free like have you been to oregon?

Round them up and euthanize them.

there are 31 in Ohio

31!

Cali has the most wtf! So much for people saying there’s hardly any racism here. Here in SD everyone calls Santee, Klantee and people of color literally hardly go over there, especially at night.

I want everyone to reblog this. I know no one will, because this isn’t a picture of a skinny girl or a deep meaningful quote. This is deeper than everything, how can someone ignore what’s happening in Gaza at the moment. This is one example of many innocent lives being threatened for no reason. This breaks my heart.
